Our preschool
Why choose our public preschool?
Our public preschool is a fee-free preschool. It’s an easy choice for local families with young children.
We give every child the start in early childhood education. At our preschool, children explore, ask questions and grow in a safe and caring place. Our friendly team helps each child learn and feel good through fun, hands-on play that builds confidence and curiosity.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our preschool. Contact us to talk to our team, book a tour or join our waitlist.

Philosophy, Quality Improvement Plan and Procedures
At Alma Public School Bugdlie Preschool, play is at the heart of everything we do. We believe play-based learning helps children make sense of their world as they engage with people, objects, and ideas. Through play, children develop their emotions, thinking, motivation, and brain function.
Our program encourages children to take the lead in their learning, make choices, and participate in decisions that affect them, embracing their agency and creativity.
Play offers endless learning opportunities. It helps children explore friendships, share ideas, solve problems, and develop language skills. It’s also a time for fun, relaxation, and joy. Our dedicated educators support each child’s growth with high expectations and provide resources that inspire creativity, exploration, and connection.
We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, and fun environment where children can be curious, ask questions, and enjoy learning about nature, science, and their surroundings.
We respect the uniqueness of every child and their family’s culture, language, and beliefs. We welcome all children, prioritising access for those facing disadvantage, and we are committed to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness.
We proudly acknowledge that our preschool stands on the land of the Wilyakali people, and we pay our respects to their elders past, present, and future.
